We are delighted to announce that Lyonsdown’s artwork continues to achieve regional and national recognition following the success of the Independent Schools Association (ISA) Regional Art Competition earlier this month.
There were 13 entries submitted from Lyonsdown for different categories and key stages, and we’re delighted to announce that eight pieces of work have been awarded prizes:
“It is a testament to our girls’ creativity that each year sees pieces of their artwork reach the ISA National Art Competition finals,” says Mrs Cowie, the School’s specialist Art teacher. “We are proud that such a large selection of individual and collaborative artwork created by pupils has been awarded this year. Our congratulations go to all pupils whose work was selected for the competition and a huge well done to our past pupil, Tiya and to our current Year 6 class whose 1st prize winning entries will be entered in the ISA National Art Competition next month.”

1st Place: 2D Art Group KS2- Year 5 Class (Current Year 6)
2nd Place: Individual Textiles KS2- Tabitha (Year 6)
2nd Place: Individual Textiles KS1- Jasmine (Year3)
2nd Place: Fashion KS01/2- Zoya (Last year’s Year 6)
Highly Commended: 3D Art Individual KS2- Jahzarah (Year 6)
Highly Commended: 2D Art Group KS1- Year 2 Class (Current Year 3)
Highly Commended: 2D Art Individual KS1- Lily MG (Year 3)
We are incredibly proud of the girls for developing their artistic talents and for continuing Lyonsdown’s strong reputation for success in the creative arts.
