Lyonsdown Lower School Spring Concert

Today the rising stars of Lyonsdown School took to the stage in the much-anticipated Key Stage One Music Concert. The concert was opened by the youngest members of the Lyonsdown family – our Little Lyons from Pre-Reception – with a charming performance, accompanied by some skillful drawings welcoming the spring.

Still awestruck by the talent of even our most junior voices, the audience was once again blown away by our virtuoso violinists and fabulous flautists, each performer shining in their own way. Singers as young as 4 and 5 years old came next; their beautiful voices and impressive bravery brought tears to many an eye. But the main event was saved until last. Years One and Two joined forces for a delightful performance of ‘Truly Scrumptious.’ What a wonderful start to the spring musical diary! Alongside all the tuneful talent, the whole range of Lyonsdown learning habits were on show.

Next week the musical fun continues when the Key Stage Two girls take their turn to shine at our piano concert on Tuesday and our wider musical extravaganza on Thursday.
