Mr Sagoo an artist, architect, one of the Big Draw patrons and also a father to one of our pupils, came into school today to host our assembly. He led the whole school through an uplifting and exciting STEAM talk about embracing sustainability and architecture for the future, he included some of his own fantastic drawings to inspire the girls. Collectively, with our specialist Art teacher Mrs Cowie, a creative brief will be set for the whole school to collaboratively design a cleaner and healthier, futuristic New Barnet. Over the next couple of months, the girls will be stretching their imaginations and producing an inspiring piece of 3D work using a plethora of sustainable materials. The focus of the brief will be on clean living, futurist ideas, keeping our planet green and a more sustainable way of living. We’re hoping to inspire the young designers of the future!
Mrs Cowie will be going ahead with the Futuristic New Barnet scheme after the Christmas break, all years will be taking part in this fantastic opportunity. The finished artwork will be on display in the school in the New Year.
