We are delighted to announce that Lyonsdown’s artwork continues to garner regional and national recognition following success at the Independent Schools Association (ISA) Art Competition.
At the regional competition, an impressive nine pieces of work won first place, with additional girls winning second place and ‘highly commended’ mentions. The first prize winning artwork all then progressed to the ISA National Art Competition which took place on Thursday.
“It is a testament to our girls’ creativity that each year sees many pieces of their artwork reach the ISA National Art Competition finals,” says Mrs Cowie, the School’s specialist Art teacher.
“This year, we are proud that four girls have won a national award. Our congratulations go to Safiya (Year 6), Aliya (Year 3), Elsie (Year 4) and Nikki (Year 3). Their artworks are all wonderful and they are incredibly well-deserved winners of this national accolade.”

2nd Prize- Safiya: Sketchbooks KS2

Highly Commended- Elsie: Textiles Individual KS2
Highly Commended- Nikki : Art 2D Individual KS1
