A very warm welcome to all pupils and parents, as we return from the summer break. I hope that July and August gave you time to relax, meet with family and friends and enjoy what good weather we did have, either here or abroad.
As a new school year begins, I share a great deal with your children, particularly if they are new to our community. I am excited to be starting at Lyonsdown, and looking forward to meeting your sons and daughters. My door is always open, if they should ever want to talk about anything.
Of course, we have been in school over the holidays making sure everything is ready for September and I would like to thank the staff for all of their hard work in preparation for the new term.
Finally, if you are a fan of social media, the official @LyonsdownSchool Twitter account will be sending news of what is happening in school, and @hammondteacher may also interest, and occasionally amuse, you.
