We’ve got lots of end of term events to look forward to here at Lyonsdown prep school, they are listed below:
NATIVITY
The Lower School Nativity will take place in the school hall on Tuesday 4th at 11am for parents of children in Pre-Reception and Reception and Wednesday 5th December at 2.20pm for parents of children in Year 1 and 2. Owing to Health and Safety regulations, we have to limit the number of seats to 2 per family. We cannot allow people to sit on the gym equipment as the children need to be able to move around the back and sides of the gym. We request that you do not bring infants who will find it difficult to remain quiet throughout the performance, as it then becomes difficult for the children who are taking part.
FRIENDS OF LYONSDOWN ‘SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS’ EVENT
We are looking forward to you joining us at the Friends of Lyonsdown ‘Spirit of Christmas’ which is on Wednesday 5th December following the second Lower School Nativity performance. This lovely social occasion will take place at approximately 3pm. We warmly welcome you all to join us for mulled wine and mince pies either following the Nativity (Year 1 and 2 performance) or at normal end of day pick-up time (Pre-Reception, Reception and Years 3 – 6). A selection of cakes will also be available for you to purchase. This event will take place on the school playground.
CAROL SERVICE
We are looking forward to you joining us for our Upper School Carol Service which takes place at Holy Trinity Church on Friday 14th December at 2pm. This involves all the girls in Years 3 to 6.
As it is the last day of term, it is really important that the girls collect bags and personal belongings before going home. They will therefore all return to school at the end of the service with their form teachers and will be dismissed as normal.
CHRISTMAS LUNCH Years 1 – 6
If your child usually has a packed lunch and would like a cooked Christmas mid-day meal on Wednesday 12th December, at a cost £3.00, please could you complete the slip attached to the back of this Newsletter and return it to the office. If your child normally has a hot lunch no action is needed. (Sorry not available for Pre-Rec & Reception, who have separate Christmas parties).
